BOEING 787-10 DREAMLINER



BOEING ha completado con éxito el primer vuelo del Boeing787-10 Dreamliner, el modelo más nuevo y largo de la familia 787, un vuelo de cuatro horas y 58 minutos con despegue en el aeropuerto Charleston, en Carolina del Sur (USA).

Tras su primera operación, capitaneada por el piloto jefe del 787, Tim Berg, la compañía procederá a realizar un programa completo de pruebas de vuelo antes de que comiencen las entregas de la aeronave a sus clientes el primer semestre de 2018.

Desde sus primeras entregas en 2011, la familia 787 ha transportado mása de 152 millones de pasajeros en 530 rutas de todo el mundo, con un ahorro estimado de unos 6,3 millones de toneladas de combustible.

Aeroflot resumes Lisbon service from July 2017

Aeroflot starting July 2017 plans to resume service to Portugal, initially operating Moscow Sheremetyevo – Lisbon route 3 times a week. Boeing 737-800 aircraft is scheduled to operate this route from 15JUL17, gradually increasing to 6 weekly by October 2017.  The Skyteam member previously served Lisbon in October 2003.

BARCELONA-CHICAGO CON AMERICAN AIRLINES



La ruta entre Barcelona (El Prat) y Chicago (Internacional de Chicago O'Hare) se iniciará el 6 de mayo con AMERICAN AIRLINES y será operada por aviones Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

El Boeing 787-8 contará con una capacidad de 225 asientos, de los cuales 27 son de clase Business y 198 en Turista.

La frecuencia prevista será de una operación semanal durante la temporada.

Desde el 6 de abril la aerolínea volverá a operar la ruta desde El Prat al Aeropuerto Internacional de Filadelfia y desde el 6 de mayo, al Aeropuerto Internacional de Charlotte-Douglas.

25 ANIVERSARIO DE AEROSPORT



AEROSPORT, el certamen de aeronáutica general y deportiva en su 25 aniversario contará con grandes sorpresas y novedades. La cita de este año será el 6 y 7 de mayo en el aeródromo de IGUALADA-0DENA.

El festival aéreo tendrá lugar el domingo 7  de mayo, de once a dos del mediodía y se podrá disfrutar del espectaculo acrobático de piloto internacional Cástor Fontoba, del local Alex Balsells y de la patrulla italiana BLU CIRCE TEAM.

Al festival se unirán las acrobacias de parapente y las demostraciones de todo tipo de aeronaves, entre ellas, los yaks que tanto llaman la atención del público.

Por otro lado, AEROSPORT contará una vez más con los tradicionales carruseles de todo tipo de aviones, con concentraciones de aeronaves por modelos y con el propioespectáculo de los movimientos de todas las aeronaves que aterrizarán para visitar el certament.

AIRBUS Y CRUZ ROJA



Un Airbus A330 de la Fundación Airbus, transportó 17 toneladas de suministros de socorro, agua especializada y equipo sanitario, desde el aeropuerto East Midlands (RU) a Entebbe (Uganda).

La misión humanitaria fue organizada por Airbus y IFRC (Federación Internacional de la Cruz Roja). La carga humanitaria incluye una unidad de respuesta de emergencia y saneamiento para las personas que viven en un campamento de refugiados en la frontera de Uganda y el Sudán meridional.

United Reports February 2017 Operational Performance


United Airlines (UAL) today reported February 2017 operational results.
UAL's February 2017 consolidated traffic (revenue passenger miles) decreased 0.8 percent and consolidated capacity (available seat miles) decreased 0.4 percent versus February 2016. UAL's February 2017 consolidated load factor decreased 0.3 points compared to February 2016. 
"Our operational momentum continued in February, achieving more days without flight cancellations than any other month in the company's history – further demonstrating to our customers that they can count on United to connect them to the moments that matter most," said Scott Kirby, president of United Airlines. "We had more no-cancel days in the last two months than we had from 2011-2015 combined. This record performance is the result of the teamwork from our more than 87,000 professionals who are driven to build the world's best airline for each other, our customers and everyone we serve."
The company continues to expect first-quarter 2017 consolidated passenger unit revenue to be down 1.0 percent to up 1.0 percent compared to the first quarter of 2016.
